Jan Doyle Band are the sound of living in a faceless concrete filled mining town. Where history is destroyed and the future looks bleak. Formed in 1995 whilst some members were in Electronic Counter Measure but wanted to create music that was darker and featuring more guitars. Inspired by the likes of Siouxsie, Sisters of Mercy and Front 242 they forged their own brand of minimalist music.
Hammering faces on the back wall
While you recall their songs
The empty armchair pushed against the fire
To clear the way for anyone
Circling the floor to avoid the stains
Wishing the cameras would miss you again
And it seems you've been pacing for days
The far walls, blackening your stain
Waiting
Waiting again
Make the wall bleed!
